Picture + 100 words: Camels,Trucks, Dubai

You know how they say a picture is worth a 1,000 words? As someone who loves words, I am going to start a new “series” of posts where I share a picture and then write about it in less than 100 words.

Camels on a Truck

We were in Dubai for exactly five days before we really felt like we were in the Middle East. Sure the women in niqab and men in thawb tipped us off. As did the signs warning women from wearing scandalous clothing that reveals the shoulders or knees. But, really, it wasn’t until we drove away from Dubai toward the desert (and apparently Oman where we accidentally ended up) that we truly felt like we were in the Middle East. These camels? You know, the camels on the truck? They played a big role as well.
