Picture + 100 Words: The Door in Venice

Venice DoorwayThis door. It represents Venice to me. First, you can’t enter or exit the door (or city) without a boat or without getting wet. It’s a little dilapidated  There are no straight lines. The plaster is chipping away. The wood is buckling. It looks like it’s been well used if not over used. But it’s beautiful isn’t it? Even if it is sinking, and even if it is old, well worn and and fading away. It’s beautiful. It’s Venice.
